Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor Associate (CDCA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively in a clinical environment, facilitating recovery through various therapeutic methods. This position reports to the Clinical Director.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual needs and treatment goals.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Facilitate group therapy sessions, promoting a supportive environment for shared experiences.
Engage in psychotherapy sessions with patients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
Collect and maintain accurate data related to patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care for patients.
Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at improving treatment methodologies.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all interactions.
Skills.
Proficient in data collection methods for effective patient tracking and reporting.
Experience facilitating group therapy sessions and conducting outpatient therapy.
Knowledge of psychopharmacology as it relates to substance use disorders.
Ability to assess and treat children experiencing substance-related issues is highly desirable.
Familiarity with clinical research processes and methodologies.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and their families.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
3 or more years experience as a CDCA is preferred. LCDC & LICDC's are encouraged to apply!
