Position Summary
The Therapist is responsible for planning and facilitating clinical process and psychoeducational groups for clients across the Robin Recovery network. This is a remote, field-based role: the Therapist travels between facility locations to deliver group services on-site, in addition to conducting any required documentation and treatment planning remotely. The Therapist works under one of the following licensures: CDCA, QMHS, LSW, LCDC I, LCDC II, LCDC III, or LPC, and delivers evidence-based, recovery-oriented group treatment consistent with each client's individualized treatment plan.| SECTION I — Group Facilitation & Clinical Duties |
A. Group Facilitation
- Plan, prepare, and facilitate clinical process groups and psychoeducational groups at assigned facility locations, following the applicable curriculum and clinical model
- Travel between facility locations as scheduled to deliver in-person group services, adjusting facilitation style and content to the population served at each site
- Manage group dynamics, address disruptive or high-risk behavior in group, and maintain a safe, therapeutic group environment
- Adapt group content and pacing to meet the clinical needs of clients across varying levels of care (PHP, IOP, TBS)
- Coordinate group scheduling with facility Clinical Directors to ensure consistent coverage across all assigned locations
B. Individual & Treatment Planning Support
- Contribute to the development and updating of individualized treatment plans (ITPs), incorporating group participation and progress
- Provide brief individual clinical contact as needed to support group engagement and address acute clinical needs
- Collaborate with case management, peer support, and medical staff to coordinate whole-person care for clients
C. Documentation & Compliance
- Complete all group and individual clinical documentation timely and in accordance with OhioMHAS, Medicaid, and organizational documentation standards
- Ensure group notes are individualized to each client's response and participation, avoiding duplicated or templated content
- Maintain compliance with 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and all applicable confidentiality requirements
- Maintain current licensure/certification and complete all required continuing education
D. Travel & Remote Work Expectations
- Maintain reliable transportation and travel regularly between assigned facility locations to deliver in-person group services
- Complete documentation, treatment planning, and administrative duties remotely outside of scheduled on-site group time
- Maintain a secure, HIPAA-compliant remote work environment for any clinical work performed off-site
- Communicate proactively with the Clinical Director regarding travel schedule, site coverage, and any scheduling conflicts
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted licensure in the State of Ohio in one of the following: CDCA, QMHS, LSW, LCDC I, LCDC II, LCDC III, or LPC
- Experience facilitating group therapy or psychoeducational groups in a substance use disorder or behavioral health setting preferred
- Working knowledge of evidence-based group treatment models (e.g., CBT, DBT skills groups, Seeking Safety, Motivational Interviewing)
- Strong group management, de-escalation, and facilitation skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel regularly between multiple facility locations
- Comfort working in a remote/field-hybrid role with independent time management
